Grand Knight Sir Paul Siverson and VFW Post 9133 Commander Wendy Silvera presented Vietnam Medallions to LTC Ed Hughes, USA (Ret) and MSG Danny Elzie, USA (Ret) during Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day in Jacksonville, NC on 29 April 2023. LTC Hughes and MSG Elzie are members of the North Carolina Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association.

During the NCOA Annual Conference in July 2022 in San Antonio, TX,
Down East Chapter #906 member Sir Paul W. Siverson, assumed the mantle as the
34th Grand Knight for the Knights of the Square Table.

What is a Knight?
In early 1974 Jim Duncan, then NCOA President, and Mac McCaughey, Director of Public Relations, brainstormed and researched an idea for a new level of recognition.
This new idea evolved around the theme of the knights, like those of the early days of yore.
Since it was inappropriate to plagiarize the “Knights of the Round Table” it was decided that the “Knights of the Square Table” would be best to identify this new order of recognition.
