MEMBERSHIP/EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
3 February 2022
- The Membership/Executive Committee of the Down East Chapter #906 of the NCOA was called to order at 1830 on 3 February 2022 by Chairman Alexander Nevgloski at the Swansboro Moose Lodge #1425, 161 Norris Rd, Swansboro, NC 28584
- The pledge of Allegiance, Opening Prayer and NCOA Creed were recited.
- The following elected members were present:
Alex Nevgloski, Chairmen
Luis Alers, Vice-Chairmen – excused
Paul H. Miethker, Secretary
Julianne Froncek, Treasurer
- The minutes of the January 2022 meeting were accepted.
- Financial report was read and accepted, pending annual audit.

- OLD BUSINESS a. Secretary Miethker reminded the Chapter, there is no written contract with Coastal Carolina
Community College for the old Mack McKinney award, further discussion tabled until the
Further notice. b. Member Levesque updated the members on the order for NCOA covers, cost is around
$30.00 per cover. c. Member Levesque updated the members on the Base CG’s policy for funeral support. - NEW BUSINESS
a. Chapter Chairman Nevgloski has assigned Tim Manchester, Paul Levesque and Steve
Tracy to the Policy and Procedures committee. Chapter By Laws need to updated first. The committee will report back at the March 2022 meeting.
b. NCOA National is providing WW2 Medallions for WW2 veterans or family members for $15.00 each.
c. Chapter Chairman Nevgloski informed the Chapter that the pancakes breakfast fundraiser will at Saint Peters by the Sea on 12 February 2022. Cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.
d. Chapter Chairman Nevgloski informed the members that the Annual Budget is due by the March 2022 meeting.
- GOOD OF THE ORDER
a. Covid-19 immunizations available at the NMCCL Immunization Clinic for all
DOD ID card carrying personnel. 3rd booster shot is now available.
b. Onslow County providing Covid-19 immunizations by appointment.
c. The USO hopes to be moving to a new location onboard Camp Lejeune in the near
future.
d. Pancake fund raiser at Saint Peters by the Sea 0800-1100 12 February 2022

There being no further business, a motion was made to adjourn. The Closing Prayer was read and the meeting was adjourned at 1925. The next meeting will be held on 3 March 2022 @ 1830, at Swansboro Moose Lodge # 1425.
